Midalu 2500 V6 is a Czech motorcycle, which is fitted with a powerful engine in a compact gear. The bike was unveiled at the INTERMOT motorcycle show in 2016 in Cologne, and it became its real star.
The company traces its roots to the early '70s, when it used to make 125 and 250cc motorcycles under the PERTI name. Since the '90s, the company has been building mostly racing bikes under the FGR banner. Nowadays the Czechs are produced the motorcycles with an increased engine. A new Midalu is fitted with the 2,5Lt V6 engine, which makes 240 hp and 160 nm. The powerplant hangs under a thick trellis frame while most of the bodywork is made of carbon fibre. Generally, the motorcycle weighs 262kg dry.
The bike of such capacity and weight should be fitted with good brake system and suspension, that’s why Czech engineers decided to use a fully adjustable Ohlins fork, a fully adjustable Ohlins shock, 4-piston Brembo racing supports.
The Midalu 2500 V6 prototype was designed by Stanislav Hanus and was firstly presented in 2011. Initially it was planned to produce 6 motorcycles. Although a manufacturing version was unveiled at the INTERMOT motorcycle show, such questions as producing time limits and its price aren’t discussed.
