BMW Motorrad USA is preparing to present its lineup of the 2018 models. After the recent updating of the K 1600 touring series, it’s the G 310 R’s turn to shine now.
Since the recent presentation on the market, the 2018 BMW G 310 R won’t get great design or equipment changes. But its price will change for the better.
As a part of further aggressive pricing of the dynamic, lightweight roadster, BMW has reduced the standard destination and handling charges from $495 to $245.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for a new G 310 R will be $ 4,750, as announced in November last year at the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show. BMW offers the most affordable motorcycle in the nearest future, and its price will only reach $4,995.
Its sporty design, excellent fuel efficiency, lower seat, lighter weight and compact size should attract beginners, smaller riders, urban riders, older and returning riders looking for a manageable motorcycle. And also riders who want a great-looking BMW motorcycle with excellent performance and technology at a very attractive price.
The 2018 G 310 R motorcycle is powered by 313 cc single-cylinder engine with a fuel injector and water cooling, generating 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 21 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm. The power of the engine is smoothly and rapidly transmitted to the rear via a 6-speed manual gearbox without any sophisticated modern devices.
The bike weighs only 158 kg with all fluids in place, and it’s able to reach a maximum speed of 90 mph while fuel consumption could be only 3,9 Lt per 62 miles if you constantly ride it at 56 mph.
Other features include standard ABS, 17-inch cast aluminum wheels, inverted forks, preload-adjustable mono-shock, and a LCD instrument cluster.
Without extra payments, you can get the bike in either Cosmic Black or Strato Blue Metallic. By the way, for an extra hundred dollars, you can have it in Pearl White Metallic Motorsport.
