The pilot's Danish Julie Mortensen passed away this past saturday as a result of a tragic accident while contesting the qualifying session of the 1000 km of Hockenheim, an endurance race that is part of the German Championship of Speed of Long-Distance.
According to the information provided by the organization, the pilot of 30 years of age lost control of his Yamaha R6 in one of the bends of the German track and received the direct impact of another participant that was not able to do nothing to prevent the outrage.
Still life, Julie Mortensen was transferred in critical condition to a nearby hospital where the doctors did everything possible to save her life. Unfortunately, at the first hour of the afternoon confirmed her death.
Her team, the 6Speed Team, published the message on profile of Facebook: "we still can't believe it. The pain and the terror are the words. Yesterday our friend Julie died. Our thoughts are with her, her family, friends and all who have had to witness this terrible incident. In this difficult time, we ask that you not hagn more questions, we also need a little time to realize what has happened."
