Swiss are often pragmatic, practical people. But VTR Customs prove, that the Swiss are also a little crazy and risky, with a sense of style and beauty. The design of the BMW R1200R Veneno Blanco (White Poison in Spanish) is an excellent proof.
The project was dreamed up over a few beers. The owner of a previous VTR Custom, a R1200 dubbed ‘Goodwood’, had performed in a 1/8th mile sprint cup. As a result he was knocked out on a turbocharged Yamaha with a Stretch Armstrong swingarm. It was really fun, but the owner wanted to be more competitive.
In the end, the task was to make a fast racing bike. The budget really wasn’t a concern, so the customizers did everything necessary to achieve the goal.
