The Silicone Engineering Kawasaki rider led from the start of the four lap Wednesday race, run in conditions that were close to perfect and took a well-deserved win from Peter Hickman and James Hillier, the second and the third positions respectively.

Harrison, who had looked perfect during the whole week, took the early lead, being ahead of Dunlop and James Hillier and continued to increase his advantage all the way around to the Grandstand. He showed here the only 128mph lap, a few seconds ahead of Dunlop and Peter Hickman, who had speeded up in order to complete the top three.

Then the lap record holder scorched into the pits for the fuel stop, he skirted just above MD Racing man Dunlop’s Monday lap record with a 129.099mph.

In an attempt to catch up with the opponent, Michael Dunlop was landed with a 30 second penalty for a pit lane speed infraction (after being clocked just 0.2kph above the 60kph limit), and he appeared on the fifth position, nearly 40s down on the lead.

Harrison just had to hold his pace, having over 20s to spare ahead of Trooper Triumph by Smith’s Racing man Hickman at Ballaugh Bridge. At the finish line Dean was 18.671s ahead of second place as he set a new race record by 8.749s.

Quattro Plant JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s James Hillier went third with Padgetts Honda mounted Conor Cummins in a strong fourth. Michael Dunlop rounded up the top five.

Josh Daley, Jamie Coward, Jim Hodson, Glen Harrison, Mark Goodings, Rob Hodson, Derek McGee, Daley Mathison and Sam Johnson were retired during today’s race.
