Steampunk is one of the most atmospheric and unusual directions in the design of things. It implies an art inspired by steam energy of the XIX - early XX century. It’s always about metal, lined aerodynamic forms, staves and no plastic!
Look, for instance, at this reverse trike (two front wheels, one rare wheel), inspired by “Joseph Stalin” locomotive. This is how it looked like:
Sadly it’s more an art object than a functional motorcycle. The motorcycle cannot move independently. It was made in Saint-Petersburg in a custom shop Asook Customs. There is number 19 on board. And this is not a racing number, but the serial number of custom projects built in the workshop.
The most interesting thing in the trike is the front part, which most accurately repeats the contours of the front end of the locomotive. You will find similar ventilation grilles, as well as the sign “Joseph Stalin” above the headlight. And the wheels with five-pointed stars are rather cool.
The engine is made of elements of an aircraft radial motor. By design, it rotates the rear wheel through a horizontal bar, like a steam locomotive. It looks incredibly cool, but unfortunately does not work.
The trike also does not have a handlebar but has vertical hands aside from the fuel tank. But they won’t help to turn the vehicle left or right.
