In 1969 Honda first set up shop in Australia. The Japanese giant sent Hidehiko Shiomi to Melbourne to setup a unified, national representation for Honda in Australia. This year the company is celebrating the 50th anniversary, a signifi cant milestone, to mark which Honda Australia has created a one-off collection of gold products.
Honda Australia turned to “Vinyl Wraps Graphics”, a company based in Melbourne, which fitted Honda cars with a gold chrome film.
“Given the thickness of the vinyl wrap and the intricate profiles of the bodywork, this was a complex project, but we are thrilled with the results,” said Matt Czerny, Managing Director of Vinyl Wraps and Graphics.
The gold units include:
- Fireblade
- NSX
- Civic Type R
- CRF50F
- CRF450L
- HRU19 Buffalo (lawnmower)
- Honda EU22i (Generator).
All products are made in a single copy and not for sale.
